Door Lock

Product Description:

deadbolt2YNOTLOC – Door refers to a family of low voltage electronic deadbolting door locks. Used in a wide variety of door applications they offer the ultimate level of security in addition to exceptional convenience. Hidden in the door frame or mounted to glass doors with the aid of accessories, these locks have been sold in six continents for over 25 years.

There are three models available, a Streamlined version for narrow doors, a High security version for bigger doors and a Key override model for manual access in addition to its electronic control. All three models are made to the highest specifications and include the features;

  • Varied input voltage: 12 – 24VDC can be supplied to the locks
  • Full monitoring: Door, Bolt and Key positions are all sensed
  • High physical strength: 1000 – 2000kg holding force
  • Quality materials: Stainless steel parts are used throughout the lock
  • Integrated access control: Multiple attempts to lock and unlock, anti-tailgate, anti-tamper, auto relock and current reduction are all features of the integrated control board.

The locks can be connected to advance access control systems where logging and traffic reports are important, but because of the integrated access control features, the locks can also operate in a simple system. By connecting the lock to a low voltage power supply and exit / entry devices (keypad, pushbutton, biometric reader, etc) all the basic features normally found in full access control systems are available. This makes the YNOTLOC – Door range of locks ideal for residential and smaller commercial applications.

The YNOTLOC – Door family of locks and accessories offer a wide range of installation options. The locks can be fitted vertically or horizontally and are normally mortice mounted into Wooden or Aluminum door frames. Traditionally the lock is installed in the frame with the strike plate recessed into the door but by utilizing power transfer cables the lock can be installed in the door with the strike in the frame.

Vertical mortice mouting of the lock into the door frame and strike into the door.

The top housing is fitted over two screw heads then tightened to secure it to the wooden door frame. The lower housing is glued onto the glass door and a dress plate glued on the opposite side of the glass.

FAQ

What is YNOTLOC - Door?

A family of low-voltage electronic deadbolting locks and accessories. Used to secure all types of doors in most applications there are three models available;
   YD25 –   Streamline
   YD25K – Key Override
   YD38 –   High Security

Why use YNOTLOC - Door?

To get the convenience of electric locking with the strength of a high quality mechanical lock. Remove the need to carry keys, allow or prevent access remotely or log door traffic. Secure glass doors effectively while maintaining a ‘clean’ look.

How does it work?

A lock is mounted inside the door frame and a strike mounted into a recess in the door edge.* Closing the door will activate the lock and it will automatically push the lock pin out to engage with the strike and secure the door. Unlocking is achieved by sending the lock a signal from an entry or exit device (keypad, pushbutton, biometric reader, etc) which can be connected directly to the lock or via an access control system. A manual key override is available on the YD25K so in addition to electrically unlocking, manual unlocking is also an option.

* The installation can be reversed where the lock is fitted in the door and the strike in the door frame, or by using the appropriate accessories both items can be surface mounted onto wood, glass or metal.

What makes YNOTLOC - Door better than other products on the market?

The quality of the YNOTLOC – Door products is what makes them stand out from their competitors. Acetal plastic components and stainless steel parts and fasteners are used throughout the locks and with cycle testing to one million operations, YNOTLOC – Door is the best solution in their class. The three locks are all fully specified with every necessary feature coming as standard. From door and bolt position monitors, integrated access control, mechanical deadbolting to low current consumption, YNOTLOC – Door offers the best solution available.

Where can it be installed?

Vertically or horizontally mounting on single or double acting doors. Keep away from wet environments and for this reason mounting in the floor and locking into a strike in the bottom of the door is not recommended.

Does it use power and if so how much?

Each lock uses power to either lock or unlock. In ‘fail safe’ mode power is used to lock the door and maintain it locked while in ‘fail secure’ power is used to unlock and maintain unlocked state. As the lock operates it use 1 - 1.5A, but after the initial action the power used drops to only 0.2 – 0.23A which is suitable to maintain either the locked or unlocked states. This dramatically reduces the power consumed and also prevents the lock from over heating. The integrated circuit board performs this function and also allows the locks to accept an input voltage of 12 – 24VDC.

Is it strong enough to be the only lock on a door?

The YNOTLOC – Door family of locks are all made to be not only the single lock on a door but also stronger than most other locks available. YD25 and YD25K can withstand a force of 10000N while the YD38 is able to withstand 20000N. Each lock uses a stainless steel pin to achieve locking and lock into a stainless steel strike.
